What to expect…
Therapy can sometimes be uncomfortable, but it doesn’t have to be scary! I tailor each session to your unique needs. When we first meet, my main priority is to help you feel comfortable. I know trusting relationships can take time, and you set the pace for our journey together. I bring humor and creativity into my work and believe that our sessions should feel conversational and relaxed. I’ll provide you with a safe space to share and grow, with compassion and authenticity at the core of services I provide. Please feel empowered to reach out to me by phone or email for a free consultation to determine if we are a good fit!
My Approach to Helping You is…
Person Centered! This is a non-directive approach to therapy where the client leads the process, with the therapist acting as a facilitator, emphasizing empathy, respect, and authenticity to empower the client's self-discovery and growth. I’m here to provide you with a safe and nonjudgmental environment to help you better understand yourself and feel empowered to make meaningful changes in your life.
Psychodynamic! This type of talk therapy looks at the psychological influences behind our behaviors, feelings, and relationships, and how these might relate to earlier life experiences. This approach views problems as a result of the links between present and past events or relationships. Understanding how the past influences our feelings and behaviors can help you release what no longer serves you.
Mindfulness based! This approach to therapy is characterized by nonjudgmental awareness of the present moment experience, including one's thoughts, bodily sensations, and the environment, while encouraging openness and acceptance. Mindfulness exercises can help reduce stress, emotional reactivity, and help reduce negative thought patterns.
